This was something light. I went up to Top Floor to take some flicks for the Magazine I’m working on and we was like let’s shoot a quick video and that’s what we did. Da Youngfellaz- Hour Glass
I been fuckin’ with Sho-Biz & Jay Storm since they was on Mad Ciphas. I remember watching them like these young niggas are hot. Fast forward about 5 years and they’re still making quality music. Originally I thought they would’ve gone after the younger crowd and go that route, but on their Broken Mirrors EP, they’re showing they have more to offer than just catchy hooks and simple verses. Broken Mirrors is a 6 song EP with solid production and great concepts. I like the track they have with Sadat X and this other joint with Chace Infinite. Overall, Broken Mirrors is short and sweet; and I can appreciate that. Nowadays people just throw a bunch of songs together and call it a mixtape or street album. Even though this is just an EP there was definitely thought put into their project. So shout out to Da Youngfellaz & New Rich Entertainment

This track right here is a change of pace for TrendSettin.com. I normally put up joints that are hard, got wild bars, and are punchline crazy; but this song is completely different. It’s fun, bouncy, and very Souljah Boyish. I think this song is hard and if Souljah Boy did it, it would get 1M views on WorldStar. The 5th Ave Boyz just recently shot an in-studio video for this track and it should be online soon.
So this week’s numbers came in and Rick Ross failed to top Eminem. Rick Ross sold 176K and Eminem in his 5th week sold 187K.

NBA.com follows my guy Yatta as he moves from the NBA D-League to the Utah Jazz. Yatta & I both played for the Gauchos and played together in a bunch of tournaments growing up. Yatta was on a Gaucho team that had Ronald Ramon (University of Pittsburgh) and Russell Robinson (Kansas University), they won like 2 or 3 AAU National Championships. I was a little older than them, and our team won one AAU National Championship. Either way, I’m happy to see my fellow Gaucho Alumni make it to the league.
